Installation Views

2020

My education was heavily focused on the three-dimensional. Due to time and space constraints, motherhood and military life, I turned to painting but relish any opportunity to create immersive, encompassing installations. Similar to the forms in my graduate installation, the new forms in this installation reference those found in the interior body. Regardless of how we describe ourselves and others, we all look the same on the inside.

After years of life experiences and giving birth to my two sons, I decided to revisit these corporeal forms. I wanted viewers to enter a space that felt familiar yet foreign, strange yet calming, otherworldly yet uniquely human.
