Statement

I am interested in dichotomies, how an entity can be beautiful yet strange, complicated yet calming, otherworldly yet relatable.  In my work I strive to visually express those extremes while ultimately evoking a sense of balance and harmony within the chaos.


Blind Contour

I use the technique of blind contour drawing to quell the logical, cognitive part of my brain and focus on how I see the line of the body at that moment. I never redraw the lines, and apply paint to enhance the aesthetics of the body's movement. My work aims to capture a vulnerable authentic moment in time.
